History

Fábrega's Origins

In 1953, visionary industrial engineer Benito Fábrega Valls founded FÁBREGA EMPRESA CONSTRUCTORA S.A. Aged just 37, Benito held a philosophy that directed his path, instilling his values into every project undertaken since.

The 1950's: Civil Works

Shortly after its founding, FÁBREGA secured the highest classification from the Ministry of Civil Engineering, enabling participation in various projects in the Upper and Middle Reaches of the Guadalquivir Valley and across Andalusia. A landmark of this period was the construction of the Lima building in 1959. Originally conceived as a residential tower, it became the tallest building on the Paseo de la Castellana at the time. Today, the Lima building stands as a testament to our dedication and long-term vision, while also housing our corporate headquarters.

The 1960's and 70's: Expansion into the Capital

In the early 1960s, FÁBREGA extended its operations to Madrid, focusing on residential and office developments. During this period, we delivered projects such as the iconic Parque de las Naciones, the Eurocentro Empresarial (Madrid's first exclusive office building), Parque América (comprising the renowned Inca, Azteca, Maya, and Guaraní buildings), and the Sabina building.

In 1973, FÁBREGA completed the emblematic Eurocentro Empresarial building adjacent to the Paseo de la Castellana, establishing itself as a pioneer in the development of exclusive office assets in Madrid.

In 1974, the leadership transition took place when our founder, Benito Fábrega Valls, handed the stewardship of the company to his son, Benito Fábrega Jacqmart.

The 1980s: The Rise of Residential Development

In the 1980s, FÁBREGA built the Prosperidad buildings and consolidated its position in the prime residential real estate sector in the Arturo Soria area with La Rosaleda and Las Tres Carabelas.

In 1985, driven by FÁBREGA's specialisation in the development of exclusive office assets, the MERRIMACK brand was launched, marking a pivotal milestone in the company's history.
